I have the solution to the sluggish US economy!

I'm not an economist. Damn, I can barely balance my own checkbook and saving, well, that's something with which I struggle.

Since the point of registering bills at Where's George is to get said bills into circulation (read that as spend them rather than save them) and see where they go and a major help to the economic crisis right now is to get money circulating, ummm...why not combine the two? Heh...

Yep, that's right, folks! One way to help the economy is to register your bills at Where's George then go out and spend them rather than deposit them in the bank!

Okay, stop laughing! And don't throw rotten apples at me, either, Ima Saver! I told you I'm not an economist. Wink But it could work. And it wouldn't cost us or the government more money. Mwaaahahahaha!

    I think so, too, BA! I have to admit I don't have a lot of hits on WG but I sure like it when I do get one. I like seeing where my bill landed and how long it took to get there. Now just think, if we all did that, wow, there would be some serious money circulating! By the way, that's why I spend rather than save. Wink

    I entered $1. bill in where's George on March of 2007 and it hasn't shown up since. Mine had where's George written on the bill.

    Aleta, that happens. I've had bills take a year or more to finally show up again. I just keep at it, though. The more I have out there, the more hits I get. Since we have bills come into the shop almost every day, I enter them and write on them. I'd like to have a stamp but in the scheme of things that's an expense I'm not going to pay right now.
