Since DH and I had a cigarette. He's having a pretty rough go of it but I'm doing okay for the most part. I keep thinking, "Hmm, I think I'll go outside for a smoke.." then realize that I can't/won't. One end of the straw I have is chewed up, though. Ha! And I'm trying not to eat everything in sight...
8 hours and counting...

One thing I did this time that helped (not much, but hey, I'm still quit) was I looked up the herbs that go in herbal cigarettes, bought them in bulk (from a local organics store) and mixed them together, then rolled them in cigarette papers. Total cost for a whole bunch of supplies: maybe $5 or $10. I'd take these faky cigarettes when I was going to an outdoor cafe, so if other patrons were smoking, I could (sort of) smoke too. You don't get the nice buzz, but it mimics the hand and mouth movements, so it helped calm my cravings a little. I did that for the first two or three months, just occasionally.

Last time I quit the desire to smoke was minimal and blessedly, it seems that way so far this time.
My other half is the one who really struggles but hey, we've saved between $9 and $10 today so far by
not smoking! I remind him of that and it helps him. Thanks for the info on the herbs but we'll just chew on our straws...it helps.
