Great deal on Pepsi products at Target

April 13th, 2008 at 05:01 pm

So, I heard that starting today Target has Pepsi products at $15 for 5 twelve packs and you get a $5 gift certificate. Plus, Target's website had a coupon for $1 off 2 twelve packs of Pepsi product.

This morning my happy bottom was down there fairly early! I got 10 twelve packs of Pepsi products, one bottle of half and half, my favorite deodorant (had a $2 coupon for that) and two $10 gift cards for $25.60. Wooooot! That figure includes my discount but that was only 10% of the deal.

If you consider gift cards as good as cash, the Pepsi products cost me about $.06 per can. And I still have the cards to use. Smile

And don't forget that there's a printable Dollar General coupon, expiring today, for a BOGO Coke/Diet Coke 2 liter deal. We have about 14 of those 2 liter bottles in the pantry, sitting next to the Pepsi cans. Wink

Don't you just love a great deal?

Yes! Friday, I went to Walgreen's and got $27.00 in merchandise FREE after rebates. I bought products that totaled $20.00, and used a $5.00 off $20.00 purchase coupon that I printed from the Walgreen's website. It was good on Friday, only. Everything I bought for the $20.00,had rebates that make them free. The extra $5.00 paid for vitamins that were "buy one get one free". I had an extra $1.00 off coupon for the vitamins. I love deals like that! They also had Coke for $10.00 for four 12-packs. They printed a $2.00 off coupon toward the next purchase, too. It takes some time reading the ads, but it is worth it!

Nance, I got in on that $5/$20 Walgreen's deal and enjoyed it! I didn't do as well as you and found only one thing free after rebate that we'll use. It was still fun, though! The fact that their 1/2 gallons of milk were $1.99 made the trip worthwhile!

When you do these Walgreens deals, do you have to explain everything you have to the cashier, or just hand it all to them and it will take off the appropriate amounts on its own?

I would like to cash in on some of the deals/coupons, but explaining several different coupons to a cashier kind of stresses me out. Smile

I don't have much experience at all with the Walgreen's and CVS deals but what I have so far tells me that the cashiers seem to know their stuff. At least here they do. Nance is more experienced than I am at this and hopefully she'll throw in her two cents worth.

If you haven't looked at it, check out iheartcvs.com for some great information on CVS deals.

Sillyoleme, regarding the rebates, Walgreen's has a booklet of rebates, and coupons every month or so. You can get one from a display, usually near the front entrance of the store. Or, ask an employee where they are. The center section of the booklet shows how much the rebates are, and shows the products that are free, after rebates. You have to send these pages in to get the rebates by mail. You can get a check, or if you get a gift card, the add an additional 10 per cent on to the card. This month, there are about 6 -8 free products, after the rebates. I got two kinds of allergy meds, a Colgate 360 toothbrush, and some makeup. These products added up to $20.00 and change. I got the $5.00 off a $20.00 purchase coupon on line. I signed up to get Walgreen's special offers, and they emailed the coupon to me. So, my $20.00 purchase cost $15.00. I needed some vitamins, and they had a brand of vitamins on sale buy one get one free. I also had a dollar off manufacturer's coupon for that brand. It ended up costing $5.00 for the vitamins. My total was still $20.00 because of the $5.00 off coupon. (The total value was $25.00), and since I opted for a gift card, I'm getting back $22.50, so they actually are paying me more than I spent. I hope that makes sense to you.

For the rebates, you fill out the page in the booklet that lists the rebates, enter the rebate offer number next to the price, circle it and send it in to the address indicated on the form.

Today, I went to CVS and this was my purchases:

    1. Schick quatro titamimium trimmer. $11.49
    2. Schick cartridge for the trimmer 10.89
    3. Adidas Deodorant for men. 2.59
    4. Airwick Freshmatic Kit 9.99
    5 Tax 2.45
    Total 37.41

    1. I had savings of 7.65
    2. A coupon for $10.89 free 10.89
    3. Extra bucks 9.99
    4. Manufacturers coupons 4.00
    5. Sales Tax savings of (7%) 1.23
    Total Savings 33.76

I ended up paying $3.65 for everything listed above.

Because of these purchases, I have $3.00 off on my next purchase and another $3. off if I spend at least $15. So all in all, my above purchases are like .65 not $3.65. I am amazed at these savings. Happy Couponing has really inspired me to shop at CVS and Walgreens.
